About this event

Den Jyske Opera presents Carmen as part of its Autumn 2026 national tour. The production is performed entirely in Danish with accompanying Danish surtitles to make the classic opera accessible to local audiences. For the Esbjerg date at Musikhuset Esbjerg on 26 October 2026, Den Jyske Opera partners with the Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester for live orchestral accompaniment. The tour premieres on 23 October 2026 at Alsion in Sønderborg and continues across Denmark through late November, with additional dates in Aarhus at the end of the tour.
