About this event
The Nutcracker for Kids is a specially designed, narrated adaptation of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s classic holiday ballet, tailored for young audiences and families. Presented as part of the Pacific Symphony's 2026–27 Family series, the production combines live orchestral performance with fully staged dance sequences. The visual and choreographic elements are performed by dancers from the American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School under the artistic direction of Susan Brooker. The experience extends beyond the stage with immersive lobby activities timed to each performance, featuring hands-on games, coloring stations, and festive photo opportunities to introduce children to ballet and orchestral music in an engaging, accessible way.
