About this event
The 2. SYMPHONIEKONZERT is part of the 2026/2027 symphonic season presented by the Tiroler Landestheater and the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck. The concert pairs Arnold Schönberg's late-Romantic string masterpiece Verklärte Nacht with Gustav Mahler's profound symphonic song cycle Das Lied von der Erde. The performances are presented without an intermission to preserve the emotional continuity of these two deeply expressive works. To enrich audience understanding of the musical and historical context, a pre-concert introduction is offered at 19:15 in the Kristall Foyer before each performance. The production is led by Gerrit Prießnitz, Chief Conductor of the Tiroler Landestheater.
