This Masterworks Series concert marks the return of audience-favorite pianist Conrad Tao to Abravanel Hall. Tao, recognized as the sole classical artist named in Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” music industry list, has a long-standing relationship with the Utah Symphony dating back to his debut at age 16. For this production, he takes on a dual artistic role, serving as both the piano soloist and the conductor for the orchestra. The evening showcases “Peak Mozart,” highlighting the composer’s playful lyricism, recognizable melodies, and profound grace through two of his most admired works. An educational pre-concert chat featuring guest artists and symphony musicians takes place in the First Tier Room 45 minutes prior to each performance.
