This is a family concert built around a narrated musical story after Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale Die Schneekönigin. The format combines Andersen's narrative with music from Edvard Grieg's String Quartet in G minor, Op. 27. The documented musical forces are a chamber ensemble of two violinists, a violist, and a cellist, with a moderator guiding the presentation. Hwa-Won Rimmer and Jing Wen-Siefert perform on violin, Jean-Christophe Garzia on viola, Rahel Krämer on violoncello, and Carolina Nees is the moderator.
