About this event

This production is the concluding event of the 80th Concours de Genève Conducting Competition. The three finalists lead the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in major works from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Each candidate must choose and prepare two works from the prescribed list of six masterpieces. At the beginning of the Semi-Final Round, a draw determines which of their two chosen works they will conduct if they advance to this Final Round. The public concert follows closed rehearsal sessions and serves as the ultimate test of the candidates' mastery of complex orchestral repertoire.
