About this event

This double-bill production unites two works around the central theme of the Faustian pact and broken promises. The staging bridges Igor Stravinsky's World War I-era theatrical work with George Benjamin's contemporary lyric tale. The production is co-produced by Opéra-Comique and T2G Théâtre de Gennevilliers, Centre Dramatique National. The artistic direction is jointly handled by Marie-Christine Soma and Daniel Jeanneteau, who are responsible for the staging, scenography, and lighting design. The visual aesthetic is further supported by costume design from Marie La Rocca and video elements by Pierre Martin Oriol. Conductor Lucie Leguay leads the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, providing the musical foundation that connects the two distinct compositional styles.
