About this event

This concert showcases the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under its new musical director, Jaap van Zweden. The program pairs the golden, vocal-like hues of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto, performed by Gautier Capuçon, with the hallucinatory landscapes of Berlioz’s quintessential French masterpiece, Symphonie fantastique. Officially presented in support of UNICEF, the event forms part of the “Sixième saison musicale européenne UNICEF Les 10 Gold.” While the ensemble continues on a wider European tour afterward, this Paris engagement features the Dvořák and Berlioz pairing as a self-contained program.
