About this event
To mark the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's death, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande presents a comprehensive symphonic cycle dedicated to the composer. Under the baton of conductor Daniele Gatti, this production represents the first installment of the multi-part series celebrating Beethoven's monumental contributions to the symphonic repertoire. The production is presented as a dual-city event, maintaining the orchestra's tradition of serving both the Vaud and Geneva cantons, with performances in Lausanne’s Théâtre de Beaulieu and Geneva’s Victoria Hall. The focus is purely symphonic, highlighting the orchestra’s interpretive approach to Beethoven’s early and middle-period works within this bicentennial tribute.
