Maury Yeston and Peter Stone’s musical Titanic takes audiences on a breathtaking journey from the euphoria of departure and the glamorous daily life on board to the tragic demise. Unlike James Cameron’s famous film, the musical has no single lead roles; it is a large-scale stage spectacle built around many moving individual fates. The work won multiple Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. The Staatstheater Mainz production is directed by Nick Westbrock, with set design by Marvin Ott and costumes by Constanze Müller. Musical direction is by Samuel Hogarth.
