The Azrieli Music Prizes Gala Concert for the 2026–2027 season showcases the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal performing the world premieres of the 2026 Azrieli Music Prizes laureates. Created in 2014, the Azrieli Music Prizes have grown to become one of Canada’s major composition competitions, highlighting exceptional contemporary musical creation. The production features a diverse and specialized array of musical forces, including soloists on the viola da gamba, theremin, and cello, alongside vocal soloists and a full chorus. This unique combination of instruments and voices is designed to offer a distinct musical journey that bridges historical and contemporary soundscapes.
