About this event
This large-scale concert production brings Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio to the Maison symphonique under the baton of Kent Nagano. The performance is designed to evoke the atmosphere of Leipzig in the winter of 1734, uniting choir, trumpets, and timpani to celebrate the Nativity. The event is a significant milestone, marking the 20th anniversary of the Festival International Bach Montréal (noting that some venue sources mention the 25th). The production features the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and the OSM Chorus, joined by a quartet of renowned international soloists. The December 8 performance is presented by Power Corporation du Canada.
