41. Balkonsingen is an open-air musical experience where members of the Theater Regensburg ensemble perform directly from the theater's balcony (Rangbalkon) facing Bismarckplatz. Scheduled for selected Wednesdays at 21:30, these 30-minute sessions are offered completely free of charge to the public. The artistic concept relies on the architectural acoustics and the atmospheric setting of the city square, aiming to transform the large space in front of the theater into an intimate, Italian-style piazza through live vocal and instrumental performances.
