About this event

The BMW Advents-Benefizkonzert is an annual charity concert presented in partnership by BMW Munich and the Bayerische Staatsoper. The 2026 edition marks the 31st anniversary of the series, which has been part of Munich’s cultural life since 1996. The concert takes place in the historic Herkulessaal of the Munich Residenz and features the Bayerisches Staatsorchester and the Kinderchor der Bayerischen Staatsoper under the direction of Robin Ticciati, with international guest soloist Plácido Domingo. The performance lasts around 90 minutes without intermission and will be broadcast live on STAATSOPER.TV at 19:00. All proceeds and donations support projects for disadvantaged children and young people in Munich, with more than €3.6 million raised to date. The 2026 concert is held under the patronage of Duchess Marie Caroline in Bavaria.
