About this event

This special benefit concert is organized in support of the St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung (St. Anna Children's Cancer Research). The event also serves as the 40th-anniversary jubilee concert for the Mödlinger Symphonisches Orchester. The production brings together massive choral and orchestral forces, featuring three distinct adult choirs—Chor Kontroverse Mödling, Mödlinger Singakademie, and the Wiener Lehrer-a cappella-Chor—alongside the Mödlinger Symphonisches Orchester. The programming pairs a contemporary Austrian composition with a monumental 20th-century choral masterpiece. The evening opens with Johanna Doderer's Salve Regina, a piece specifically scored for soprano, mixed choir, and orchestra. Following an intermission, the combined ensembles will perform Carl Orff's highly popular Carmina Burana. The performance takes place in the prestigious Großer Saal (Golden Hall) of the Wiener Musikverein.
