About this event

This contemporary music concert is presented by the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien as part of the Wien Modern festival. The Black Page Orchestra, known for radical and uncompromising music of our time, performs under the baton of Juan Martín Miceli. The program features two world premieres by Cezary Duchnowski and Wang, alongside the Austrian premiere of Óscar Escudero and Belenish Moreno-Gil’s Autotune para el pueblo. A strong multimedia and electroacoustic focus runs through the evening, with integrated video, live electronics, and amplified instruments. The Gläserner Saal setting supports these complex technical requirements. Two works by Olga Neuwirth, both with texts by Nobel laureate Elfriede Jelinek, add theatrical and narrative dimensions. The event highlights Black Page Orchestra’s commitment to boundary-pushing repertoire within a concert format.
