About this event

Presented by the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien as part of the “Konzerte um 12” series, this concise midday concert in the Brahms-Saal of the Wiener Musikverein lasts about one hour. The Barbican Quartet, winners of the 2022 ARD Music Competition, offers a program that bridges eras: Purcell’s English Baroque fantasias, Rebecca Clarke’s early 20th‑century Poem, Thomas Adès’ contemporary Arcadiana, and Mozart’s classical “Violet Quartet,” K. 575.
