Parisienne nostalgie is a chamber concert that brings together French music and works steeped in the French spirit. The arc of the evening moves from Bohuslav Martinů’s Bergerettes—vivid music from his exile years—through Claude Debussy’s youthful Piano Trio in G major with its lightness and playfulness, to Gabriel Fauré’s late Piano Trio in D minor, a score that radiates calm, maturity, and hope. The program closes with a contemporary highlight: a world premiere by Jiří Kabát written expressly for this project, expanding the traditional piano-trio palette with guest accordionist Martin Šulc. The concert features the Kalliopé Trio Prague, founded in 2011 at the Prague Academy of Arts, an ensemble of three internationally awarded musicians known for their expressive, cohesive sound. Presented by Verein Kultur im Schloss Kirchstetten in cooperation with the Lednice/Valtice Music Festival.
