The 2026 edition of the season-ending "kultig: BRASS & WINE" at Schloss Kirchstetten features the renowned trombone quartet Trombone Attraction. Conceived as a wine-hiking concert through the castle park, the audience moves between stations accompanied by the artistic director’s 70-year-old Steyr tractor, affectionately called “Alois,” which serves as a mobile stage. A hallmark of the event is the blind wine tasting in which the audience selects the “OpernWein” for the 2027 festival season. This year’s featured winery is Weingut Pesau from Falkenstein. The musical program by the four trombonists unfolds as a colorful collage of life’s facets—by turns humorous, reflective, and atmospheric—tailored to the unique open-air setting.
