About this event

This concert is a special commemorative event celebrating the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Ehime Prefectural Convention Hall. Sponsored by The Iyo Bank, the performance brings the renowned Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra (YNSO) to Ehime for a single-night engagement. The production is designed to appeal to both classical music aficionados and the general public by pairing a beloved romantic piano concerto with one of the most famous symphonies in the classical repertoire. The orchestra is led by the veteran 85-year-old maestro Ken-ichiro Kobayashi, recognized for his energetic conducting style and deep musical interpretations. He is joined by the internationally active pianist Tomoharu Ushida as the featured soloist. Strict venue policies are in place for this production: preschool-aged children are not permitted to enter, and late seating after the performance has begun is strongly discouraged. Wheelchair-accessible seating is accommodated directly through the venue's administrative office.
