About this event

This concert is a centerpiece of the Houston Symphony's 2026–27 season, opening a multi-week mini-festival dedicated to the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff and led by Music Director Juraj Valčuha. The festival celebrates the composer's monumental contributions to orchestral and piano repertoire. At Jones Hall, the Houston Symphony is joined by world-renowned pianist Yefim Bronfman for Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3, a work often called the “Mt. Everest of concertos” for its technical demands and emotional breadth.
