The Atascadero Veterans Memorial Foundation presents the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the Faces of Freedom Memorial to honor all who have served. The civic gathering blends military tradition with live musical elements in an outdoor setting at the corner of Portola Road and Highway 41. Seating is limited on site and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. The ceremony features a coordinated flyover by the Estrella Warbirds and a presentation of the colors by the Cal Poly Color Guard, accompanied by a Pipes and Drums ensemble. Musical highlights include live performances of the National Anthem and Taps, framing a formal wreath-laying to commemorate veterans. A Quilt of Valor is presented to local honorees, and the community is invited to a barbecue hosted by the Kiwanis of Atascadero following the program.
