This matinee concert is the fourth installment (“Beethoven-Zyklus IV”) of a dedicated cycle exploring Ludwig van Beethoven’s string quartets. Presented by the Hamburgische Vereinigung von Freunden der Kammermusik e.V., the performance is hosted in the intimate Kleiner Saal of the Laeiszhalle, a venue well suited to chamber music. The renowned French ensemble Quatuor Ébène presents a program spanning Beethoven’s early (Op. 18), middle (Op. 59), and late-middle (Op. 95) periods, offering a concise cross-section of his evolving style in the string quartet medium.
