This American premiere of The Unbelievers is a poignant and disarmingly funny new play by Tony and Olivier Award–nominated playwright Nick Payne. Produced by Manhattan Theatre Club as part of its 2026–27 season, the Off-Broadway production is presented at New York City Center Stage I. Directed by Tony Award nominee Knud Adams in his MTC debut, the staging explores the power of hope and the resilience it takes to navigate ordinary life after profound loss. Note: This production is distinct from the 2025 Royal Court world premiere in London and features a different creative team.
