Adirondack Chair Circle – Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Chicago

About this event

Adirondack Chair Circle is a world premiere play by Chicago playwright Stephanie Alison Walker, presented as part of Steppenwolf Theatre Company’s 2026/27 season. Directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon, the production is a biting satire and dark comedy that exposes the hilarious hypocrisy of the clubs people join and the company they keep. Staged in Steppenwolf’s Ensemble Theater (in Honor of Helen Zell), it continues the company’s tradition of championing bold new American plays. With a distinctly Chicago voice, the play examines suburban pressures, school district politics, and the carefully maintained facades of modern parents.
