About this event

Klassik Radio Live in Concert - Die Nacht der Filmmusik is a premier touring concert celebrating iconic soundtracks from film, television, and cinematic history. The program brings epic scores to life in the renowned acoustics of major European concert halls, including the Great Hall of the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. The music is performed by the Klassik Radio Pops Orchestra, an 80-piece ensemble founded by Klassik Radio in Prague in 2006. Renowned for its passion for film music, the orchestra tours internationally and records around 200 sessions each year for film studios and composers. Under the baton of star conductor Pete Harrison, the concert features a dynamic visual show and live moderation by popular Klassik Radio presenters. Harrison, with extensive London West End experience, is known for large-scale cinematic programs such as Zimmer vs. Williams and Star Wars and Beyond, making him a specialist in this genre.
