Festival String Quartet – CSUSM Academic Hall, San Marcos

As part of its Arts & Lecture Series, California State University San Marcos is sponsoring a free noon concert by the Festival String Quartet in room ACD 102. The ensemble will perform a classical and modern repertoire featuring the music of Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, and Ives. The Festival String Quartet was originally founded in 1971 as the Festival String Trio by first violinist Mary Karo. The ensemble consists of experienced musicians who have previously played with prominent regional organizations, including the San Diego Symphony, the San Diego Opera, the San Diego Chamber Orchestra, and the California Ballet Orchestra.
