Close-up: All’ungherese is a one-off chamber concert in Het Concertgebouw’s Close-up series, curated and performed by musicians of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in the Kleine Zaal. Co-organised with the Friends of the Concertgebouw, the series showcases the personal artistry of RCO players beyond the symphonic stage; drinks are included in the ticket. This Hungarian-themed evening traces connections among Liszt, Dohnányi, Bartók, Kurtág and Eötvös, moving from late-Romantic lyricism through folk-inflected modernism to the post-war avant-garde.
