The Transit tour continues the artistic path Magdalena Ganter began with her award-winning solo debut Neo Noir. Rooted in the aesthetics of 1920s cabaret and varieté, the program fuses Chanson Noir, jazz, and performance art into a cohesive, expressive total work of art. The staging foregrounds Ganter’s transformative stage presence as she slips between figures—from irreverent comedienne to yearning lover—creating a journey that moves between intimacy and spectacle. Thematically, the concert traces experiences of the past years: life on the road, the in-between state of being in transit, and the personal transformations that result. Rather than a conventional set list, the evening unfolds as a carefully sculpted arc that elevates the album’s material into a live experience. Big themes—home, motherhood, farewells—are wrapped in an elegant lightness that reveals deeper layers on closer listening.
