The quartet nouWell cousines brings a crossover evening that mixes folk roots, cheeky cabaret songs, and classical finesse. Though closely related, the four musicians reveal distinct artistic personalities, uniting virtuosity, versatility, and a playful spirit. Drawing on the musical legacy of the Well family, they have forged a cosmopolitan, genre-spanning style that remains warmly anchored in Bavarian tradition. The guiding image is the Munich “Boazn” (a local pub) — especially their regular haunt, the Johanniscafé — a lively meeting place where students, hipsters, retirees, scholars, and craftspeople share tables and swap philosophies at all hours. This pub microcosm becomes the frame for socially observant, humorous reflections on their generation, always keeping the joy of making music at the center.
