Konrad Beikircher - Arrivederci – Senftöpfchen-Theater, Germany

About this event

“Arrivederci” is the farewell stage program of cabaret artist Konrad Beikircher. After 60 years in the Rhineland—47 of them on stage—Beikircher offers a humorous summing-up of life in the “Rhenish universe.” The evening explores regional idiosyncrasies, from language and carnival to church, politics, and everyday culture. Beikircher reflects on his personal experience as a “border-crosser” between Italy, South Tyrol, and the Rhineland, charting his initial culture shock, parallels with Italian lifestyle, and gradual immersion in Rhenish mentality. Conceived as a “small Rhenish testament,” the program addresses locals and newcomers alike.
