In its 99th year, the Sächsischer Bergsteigerchor “Kurt Schlosser” Dresden presents its concert program titled “I Know a Land.” The ensemble of around 75 powerful and enthusiastic singers offers a lively, varied, and thought-provoking program. The production is marked by a strong sense of regional identity, musically supported by a wide stylistic range. The renowned men’s choir’s repertoire is broad: from typical mountain and hiking songs to German and international folk songs, and works by great classical masters. In recent years, the choir has also integrated popular music into its programs, presenting its own choral interpretations of artists such as Neil Young, Michael Jackson, and The Cranberries.
