Maxi Schafroth – Faszination Bayern – Verein Alter Stadtsaal e.V., Spires

About this event

Fascination Bavaria is the second milestone in Maxi Schafroth’s carefully planned cabaret trilogy, seamlessly continuing the quirky observational journey begun in his first solo show, Fascination Allgäu. Conceived as a touring production, it foregrounds Schafroth’s razor-sharp eye, quick wit, and unique gift for audience interaction. The staging is deliberately minimal, relying on the artist’s narrative drive as he appears as a nationwide “cultural coach” advocating tolerance and togetherness. Language and music are key: Schafroth underpins his act with the buzzing charm of his Allgäu accent. The evenings are highly interactive—he plays with the audience, reacts instantly to heckles, and adapts material on the fly, creating ever-new, surprising moments. Musically he is accompanied by his inspired guitarist and farm neighbor, Markus Schalk; depending on availability and venue, the tongue-in-cheek “Children’s Choir of the Junge Union Miesbach” occasionally joins as a satirical flourish.
