Dietrich Faber - Mit Gefühl! – Die KÄS GGmbH, Bad Oeynhausen

About this event

In his new stage show, the bestselling author, cabaret artist, actor and musician from Gießen, Dietrich Faber, presents a blend of cabaret, comedy, reading and music. The central theme of the production is feelings. Faber sheds light on the current zeitgeist, in which emotions are increasingly treated as truths and objective facts recede into the background. The performance is characterised by rapid role changes, witty texts, biting satire and quirky observations from everyday life. Musically, the programme is complemented by catchy songs that Faber performs live on piano and guitar. He draws on a range of musical genres, including operatic arias, schlager, musicals and country songs. The staging aims to take the audience on an emotional roller coaster that oscillates between genuine feeling and exaggerated sentimentality. The core message culminates in the wordplay that with “Mit Gefühl” you arrive at what the world urgently needs: Mitgefühl — compassion.
