Suchtpotenzial’s new show “(S)HITSTORM” brings together their greatest hits with fresh material. The program celebrates 12 years of the duo and condenses the essence of four previous shows into a single evening. Artistically, it plays with the tension between celebrated success and the ever-present risk of public outrage, exploring the thin line between “hit” and “shitstorm” for outspoken performers. Singer Julia Gámez Martin and pianist Ariane Müller use their famously silly onstage banter to reframe their body of work against today’s world events. The staging is marked by irreverence, intensity, honesty, and volume, allowing the duo to exploit their full musical and comedic range.
