Rymden - Valleys & Mountains – Theaterstübchen, 2026

About this event

Bugge Wesseltoft, Magnus Öström and Dan Berglund present “Valleys & Mountains,” their third studio album. The Swedish–Norwegian band Rymden, formed in 2019, celebrates seven acoustic–electronic compositions in this program. The music fuses virtuosically played 1970s-style jazz with elements of fusion jazz, prog rock and classical music. The artistic concept reflects the trio’s musical maturity, which has grown into a tight unit over the course of hundreds of concerts. The performance is marked by unexpected metric shifts, deep bass lines and atmospheric layers of synthesizer. The set ranges from dynamic trio improvisations such as the miniature “Milam Bardo” to airy, ambient-tinged pieces like “Song from the Valley.”
