This concert is the first orchestral program ("No.1") of the 2026 Seoul International Music Festival (SIMF), titled "Peace, Joy, and Pastoral." The production commemorates three major classical music milestones: the 90th anniversary of Ottorino Respighi’s death, the 120th anniversary of Dmitri Shostakovich’s birth, and the 50th anniversary of Benjamin Britten’s death. It takes place in the Seoul Arts Center’s Concert Hall, South Korea’s first venue dedicated to classical music, designed with an arena-style layout to optimize acoustics. The hall seats 2,505 in total, including 24 accessible seats. A strict age policy applies: attendees must be of elementary school age or older, with age verification required for entry.
