Silent Night is a co-production of The Atlanta Opera, Florida Grand Opera, and Opera Carolina, in a staging originally created by Wexford Festival Opera. Previously directed in Wexford by Tomer Zvulun, where it won the Audience Choice Award and Best Opera at the Irish Times Theatre Awards, the opera itself received the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Music. Artistic Director Tomer Zvulun leads this Atlanta presentation, bringing to life the 1914 Christmas Truce with a creative team that includes scenic designer Erhard Rom, costume designer Vita Tzykun, and lighting designer Robert Wierzel. Their staging highlights the human bonds that emerge amid the chaos of World War I, drawing audiences into an immersive, historically rooted theatrical experience.
