It highlights how composers and performers travelled, shared ideas, and transformed style and technique. The programme foregrounds the influence of Girolamo Frescobaldi on performance and composition, and interweaves expressive vocal repertory with virtuosic instrumental pieces. Referencing items such as “La Mónica” (known in French as “Une jeune fillette”) and “Doulce mémoire,” alongside music connected to Frescobaldi and works by figures such as Storace and Bertoli, the ensemble emphasizes historically informed performance and the vivid colours of early instruments.
