Formed by violinist Mayumi Kanagawa and guitarist Kanahi Yamashita, Duo Lotos embodies the conviction of finding serene beauty while remaining firmly rooted. These two talented performers, both born in Japan and educated in Germany, present a program of three works that reflects their interest in exploring and expanding the repertoire for violin and guitar created across history: Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango, Keiko Fujiie’s Le Rouge et Le Noir, and an arrangement of Franz Schubert’s Sonata in A minor.
