Turku Philharmonic Orchestra pairs Rodion Shchedrin’s Praeludium to Beethoven’s Ninth with Beethoven’s own Symphony No. 9, a work that celebrates art, community, joy and friendship. The finale proclaims “Alle Menschen werden Brüder,” setting Schiller’s text that has resonated for generations. This concert also marks a milestone for the orchestra and the Turku Concert Hall: when the music falls silent, TFO closes the doors of the Concert Hall and begins a new era at the Music Hall Fuuga.
