This is a spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's multi-award-winning musical CATS, which is embarking on a major UK and Ireland tour. The production is directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie, known for his work on Brigadoon and Jesus Christ Superstar. This staging offers a fresh interpretation of the classic material and arrives at Venue Cymru for a limited one-week engagement in December 2026. The musical is set on the night of the Jellicle Ball, when the strays and rebels of London gather under the Jellicle moon. The tribe awaits the decision of their leader, Old Deuteronomy, who will choose which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a new life. The production promises to bring these iconic characters to life with a legendary score that has inspired generations.
