On her 80th birthday, the chanson icon returns to the stage: at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Mireille Mathieu celebrates her life’s work. Since the 1960s she has been a symbol of elegance, hope and understanding in both East and West Germany. The venue could hardly be more fitting: the Festspielhaus, once a princely railway station with a direct link to Paris, becomes the stage for an evening that musically celebrates the deep bond between France and Germany.
